ITEM #30 S 623 Tiny Antique Victorian Figural Elephant Miniature Oil Lamp

HEIGHT: 6 1/4" to the top of shade.

For your consideration is this small cute scarce fabulously finished porcelain elephant dating from the 1880's. This oil lamp has been authenticated in Ruth Smith first book in Fig. 623. am offering this Victorian lamp in close to mint condition as pictured. The height is approx. 6 1/4" to the top of the amber waffle shade.  I really went all out on this one and added this over the top fancy shade & fancy chimney which should make this rare mint lamp special in any collectors eyes (& have to mention value too)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The original type burner and wick work perfectly & ready to use when a wick is inserted. The only damage I can see is a tiny unnoticeable flaw (made in the manufacturing process directly under the right eye. I added the very hard to find rare expensive shade which completes the lamp with a artful theme. Just a short note: Spar Brenner burners, chimneys, & shades  just by them selves are becoming on their own are quite hard to capture and much more expensive then ever. In addition, shipping costs from Europe have tripled over the last few years as well.
